Meet Willa (formerly known as Sumo), a resilient and strong-willed girl who has come a long way since her challenging start. Initially surrendered as a frightened, defensive boy, Willa revealed her true self after a surprising turn of events. Following a miscarriage and emergency desexing surgery, she slowly began to trust again, showing her foster carer a gentler, more affectionate side. Now, two months into her recovery journey, Willa craves human connection. She loves neck scratches, enjoys gentle strokes along her back, and will follow her human around, hoping for more love and attention.
Willa’s ideal home would be a calm, patient environment with people who understand her need for a gentle, gradual approach. She’s lived with other cats before and gets along fine with them, but due to her past and cautious nature, she would do best in a household without young children. Willa is a testament to resilience and trust; with the right family, she’s ready to blossom further into a loving, loyal companion.
