Kingsley was found living on the street and had FIV. Natasha fell in love with this lovely soul and adopted him just over a year ago…She says “Kingsley is the biggest snuggle bug and follows me around everywhere. He is doing so much better with the food obsession that street cats often struggle with. He no longer guards his food bowls and I can now leave biscuits out for him to graze on.
Kingsley was a big favourite at the surgery when he had 3 teeth out and despite having to fight off an infection afterwards the vet was very impressed with his blood work and commented hat he is really healthy.
Kingsley’s favourite place is sitting outside on the outdoor furniture watching the world go by (don’t worry he can’t get out as I have 2m high fences!). My apartment is next to the front door of the complex and some people say hello to him as they walk by.”
Opinions about FIV cats vary. Some people even consider them unsuitable for adoption, but at SAFE we believe they deserve to give and receive love just like any other cat. For a cat with FIV and 3 legs Kingsley has certainly found his special person! (which makes us very happy at SAFE). Read more about FIV
