When her new owners took beautiful Florence home they were surprised to find her napping happily in the bathroom sink. It’s fairly common to find cats sleeping there and it got us to wondering why…

The consensus seems to be that sinks have pleasing curves which remind cats of sleeping with their littermates. But they may also be looking for a cool, quiet, stable place to settle, up off the ground. Sinks have smooth surfaces which are comfy & cosy. As an extra bonus they’re near to water…..and many cats also like to drink from the tap. It’s a bit quirky and we’ll never really know why they do it, but if they’re looking for attention, they certainly get it by hanging out in the sink!!
